Colin McDonald netted two goals, Cal O'Reilly notched his first in Black and Gold, and the Pens posted a 3-1 win over the Bears in Game One of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. All of the particulars can be found here:

Some quick notes from the night:
- Alexandre Picard and Jason Williams each had two assists
- Brad Thiessen stopped 19 shots, and came within 1:52 of posting the shutout
- The Pens were 2 for 5 on the power play. The Bears, who had the number one power play unit during the regular season, were 0 for 3.
